1 ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature )
2 ¾ cup neutral cooking oil (I use avocado oil, but canola or vegetable will work just fine)
3 1 cup light or dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
4 ½ cup granulated sugar
5 2 large eggs (lightly beaten (room temperature preferred))
6 2 cups mashed over-ripe bananas ((this is was about 4 bananas for me))
7 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple ((do not drain))
8 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
9 3 cups all-purpose flour
10 1 teaspoons baking soda
11 1 teaspoons baking powder
12 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
13 1 teaspoon salt
14 1 cup chopped pecans¹ (see note)
15 ½ cup unsalted butter ( softened)
16 8 oz cream cheese, softened (don't use the spreadable cream cheese sold in tubs)
17 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
18 ¼ teaspoon salt
19 4 cups powdered sugar
