Tour Tips
☀️
Best time to begin
Start around 10:00 AM, Wednesday through Friday, for the best chance to experience all five stops. Savannah Scone Company’s downtown shop currently closes at 1:00 PM, so beginning there keeps the tour relaxed and gives you time to enjoy the remaining stops without rushing.
💳
Cost guidance
Plan to spend about $5–$15 per person at each stop, depending on what you choose to sample or take home. Sharing treats is a great way to experience all five stops without filling up too early.
🚗
Parking
The first three stops are clustered in Savannah’s Historic District, where metered street parking and public garages may be more practical than moving your car between every stop. Baker’s Pride and Auspicious are farther south, so plan to drive for the second half of the tour. Allow a little extra time downtown for parking and walking between stops.
♿
Accessibility
Accessibility can vary by stop and by parking location. Visitors who need specific accommodations should confirm entrances, seating, restrooms, and parking directly with each business before beginning the tour. Downtown Savannah also includes historic sidewalks, curbs, and streets that may require additional planning.
💡
More tour tips
Come hungry, but pace yourself. The first three stops are close together in Savannah’s Historic District, making it easy to explore a little of the city between bites. Consider sharing cookies, pastries, and scones so you can enjoy something at every stop.
For the full five-stop experience, plan your tour Wednesday through Friday. Savannah Scone Company’s downtown shop currently operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and notes that items may sell out, so make it your first stop.
Menus can change throughout the week. Auspicious rotates many of its pastries, and Savannah Scone Company works through more than 200 rotating scone flavors, so part of the fun is seeing what is in the case when you arrive.
At Savannah’s Candy Kitchen, the classic praline tells the confectionery story, but visitors who want to keep the tour baked-dessert focused can choose from the shop’s pies, tarts, cakes, and other baked sweets instead.
